All experience levels catered for. Competitors must have valid FAL or be directly supervised by somebody with one. Average to reasonable fitness level recommended, the full course is a few km of mild valley-walking.

Single Day Hunter-style Event
A Hunter-class event, providing animal type targetry out to 700m. Walking through a back-country track, your job is to find approx 18-20 different targets, all of which represent common game and pest animals throughout NZ.
Hosted by Sparrowhawk, this course is kinda like a more exclusive, really noisy round of golf! We have seen people do well at all ranges with various calibers between .223 and .300 win mag. Basically if you would be happy to hunt with it, you'll be happy competing with it at this event.
The name of this game is to walk a course of up to a few KM and compete for the lowest score while getting as many targets as possible within the stages. Only first rounds hits count, but if you have a whoopsie with your sighting, you can possibly use a follow-up just to check! If you're confident with your gear, you can do this whole competition with one standard box of ammo.. That's right, only 20 rounds to do a whole event! With a large field of competitors and a variety of skill and equipment, this is a fun day out where you can really test your skills without having the ethical conundrums that hunters face when wanting to really stretch their rifle's legs. Just remember though, it's a hunter-style course, so leave all those rear bags and tripods at home. Only bring with you what you would be prepared to carry on a hunt. As always, there will be a Campfire blazing at the hut and a BBQ will follow the event.
