Open Range Day
Whether you're getting ready for a competition, an open-country hunt or just want to burn some ammo, we won't judge!
Bring your gear, bring plenty of ammo and have a great day smashing some steel targets at various ranges.
If you're heading to the Front Range (Zeroing Range), expect to see various targets between approx 100m and 300m. There are pairs of gongs littered up the hillside and a few other hidden gems that you'll need to spot! Late 2023 there was even a magical shelter erected at the bottom of the carpark so no matter the weather, you'll have a great place to relax and let fly!
If you're a little more adventurous or you've found 300m just doesn't do it for you anymore, have a crack at the long range over the hill. (Long Range)
There is a plethora of targets spread throughout a 2.5km long valley system with a lovely elevated, 50m long shooting line. Targets range between approx 300m and 2km here and you'd be hard-pressed to even find all of them without help.
Make sure you've checked the date and you know whether it's a Short range or Long range open day before you bring the wrong gear! If in doubt, you can email using the link to the left of here. Hope to see you at the next one!
Something to remember... Sparrowhawk seems to evade accurate weather reports, so like they say there: "If it's sunny, bring a coat. If it's raining, please yourself"
