About Field Shooting NZ
We're here to spread the word, not the bullshit
First off, Field Shooting NZ as a website holds no affiliations to the current Field Shooting Panel or any other current or pending groups or clubs. Since field shooting in NZ is relatively new as "a thing" compare to other disciplines that have been locked in for a long time now, it's currently being held up by a bunch of hard working individuals and supporting companies to keep the sport alive and well. This is important to keep in mind when browsing through our site. Nothing written in here at this stage are the opinions of any members or other associations. We simply wanted to have a nice space where you could come for information about our awesome sport and where to sign up for competitions and training / open day events. We're only at the beginning right now so don't have all the info for you first off, but are currently working with various match directors and ranges to bring you up to date information about upcoming comps and workshops.
If you think we might be missing something, reach out and let us know. We'll get our events and workshops pages all sorted and get you the info you need to make this a happening thing! Thanks for all of you so far who have shown massive support to our fast growing discipline. Let's contonue to work together to keep our interests alive and welcome new aspiring competitors into our great community.
Background
Because everyone in our community are busy people, we're trying to bring you the information in one space where you can keep tabs on what's going on in your area. The author of this site has been a keen competitor for the past 4 years now and an avid reloader for over a decade!
Being a sport-shooter isn't about just ringing gongs.. It's about learning something new every time we head out to the range. It's about helping other shooters stay safe and improve their skill as a competitor and responsible firearms user. It's about the ever-expanding group of taleted and caring people wanting to leave a positive impact within the wider shooting community.

We sincerely hope that this site provides you with all the information you need to compete and enjoy this sport. We hope that you use this as a tool to educate new and young shooters up-and-coming in our community. Keep safe out there and thanks again for your epic support.
